From the Commander

We are going paperless with our newsletter. Starting with this newsletter simply click on the link in this postings body. It will take you directly to the newsletter on our Web Page at “americanlegionfamily.org”. Paper copies will still be mailed on request.

First impressions count. If it wasn’t for the landscaping of Ta and Jim Engelhart and Jim Griffin cutting the grass, our Post would just blend in. Thank you for making our post special.

In need of a DD214? Visit our web site at www.americanlegionfamily.org Turnaround time is roughly 30 days.

If you know of a Veteran in need, your Legion family is here for you. We have assisted numerous Veterans over the years from housing to hearing aids. Call or email, we are here.

Like to cook? Give us just one day per month. On a daily basis we put out food for our Veterans, members and guests. We do this on a “donation only” basis (we simply want to cover our cost). Call 376-3712 to volunteer.

Our partnership with Fort Drum continues to grow. Soldiers on a regular basis assist us with the Food Pantry, the Historical Society, flags in the village, local grave sites, and more. These soldiers are amazing, and we a deeply grateful for what they do! Our Legion is proud to be the nucleus for this volunteer effort. LTC Miller, our community is deeply appreciative for what your soldiers do. SPC Lopez, thank you for your “take charge” attitude!

The Legion has hit 710 members! Our county is number 1 in the state for membership!

Commander Lee Hinkleman
